My Sister's Wedding

Photographs by Lindsay Bartlett

It was my sister's wedding in April. Here are a few snapshots from the day. All of the photography was beautiful, taken by the lovely photographer Lindsay. It was a beautiful ceremony and wonderful day. I had the honour of being my sister's maid of honour. Everyone looked great and the weather turned out to be clear and sunny which allowed for outdoor photos. My sister looked stunning in her dress. It was a really beautiful day. Congratulations Katie and Bryan!

Happy Mother's Day

Love. Strength. Beauty. Guidance.

These words come to mind when I think of my mom.
I hope you have a woman in your life that does the same.

Happy Mother's Day!

I went to Iceland last November and have finally got around to looking at my photos and editing some of them. And I have finally got a new laptop. So I figured I would post some pics from my trip. I love looking at old travel photos, it brings back so many nice memories.
Iceland was a beautiful place. We stayed in Reykjavik, an awesome little city. The scenery was lovely as were the people. If you are into taking photos Iceland would not disappoint. So many fantastic photo opportunities.
Have a great week.

Hello! I went to the Turner exhibit a few weeks ago at the Art Gallery of Ontario. It ended in January and I am glad I got to see it. Beautiful paintings.
Wishing you a good weekend. Happy Valentine's Day! And to my fellow Ontarians, Happy Family Day!

New Year, New You

Hello! Hope you had a good weekend. Hard to believe it is already January 18. Hope your year is off to a good start. I was on holiday mode for a bit too long. Its time to start eating healthier and exercising. I have been thinking over my list of new year resolutions and have come up with a few. I love making new year resolutions. Sometimes I don't always follow through with them but it is still a good motivator to have a list of what you would like to accomplish for the year. Here goes...

Meditate I started meditating last spring and really enjoyed it. It is a great stress reliever. The last few months I have been slacking on daily meditation. I want to start doing it again on a daily basis. Even for just 10 minutes.
Exercise This is probably one of the most popular of new year resolutions. I suffered from a major back injury last year and began swimming to help strengthen my back. I want to continue swimming and start lifting weights this year. Also planks (need to work those abs!).
Travel I don't know where and I don't know when but I definitely want to take a trip this year.
Move into a Grown Up Apartment I currently live in a tiny bachelor and I would like to move into a one bedroom apartment. Toronto rent is very expensive so we will see how this goes. But I will definitely start looking.

I think this is doable. I could come up with more but there are only 12 months in a year so I will keep it at this.
Wish me luck!

Have a great week. Wishing you good luck with your new year resolutions.

2015

A few of my fave photos, outfits and moments of the year. It has been a year of some major highs and lows. I won't get too personal with the lows but some major highs were my trip to Vegas in the summer with my little sister and another trip to Cuba with one of my best friends. It is so much fun to travel, especially with good company. I started swimming again and strengthening my back. I have suffered from back pain and it is starting to get better this year. The swimming has really helped. Exercise is good for the body and mind. My sister met a great guy and I am very happy for her. I turned 30...still deciding if that is a high or a low! I will look at it as a high. The insecurities I had in my 20s are starting to go and I am gaining more confidence in myself and my body. That sounds super cheesy but as you enter your late 20s, especially as a women, I find you begin to accept yourself a bit more. Also, the relationships you have with friends, family and guys are more meaningful. You begin to realize that surrounding yourself with people that actually care about you is so much better for yourself than hanging out with people that don't. Sounds obvious but that can take years to realize.
Love that feeling of a fresh start with a new year. Hoping 2016 is a good one. Still thinking over what exactly my new year resolutions will be but they usually involve health and travel.
Wishing you a happy and safe new year. Good bye 2015. Hello 2016!!
